TAKTION PE is a complete K–8 physical education system built to develop students physically, mentally, and as future leaders in today's evolving world — simultaneously, from the first minute to the last in every class. Five development pillars. Five structured zones. One Student Passport that travels from Kindergarten through Grade 8.
Most PE programs occupy students rather than develop them. The result: students who dread PE, teachers who feel unsupported, and administrators who cannot explain what PE is actually producing.
TAKTION PE was built by practitioners who saw this problem first-hand from the inside — and decided to solve it completely.
All five pillars, every class, every student, simultaneously. That is what makes TAKTION PE a system rather than a collection of activities.
Every TAKTION PE class is organized into five zones. Every student has a role in every zone. No one sits out. No one waits. Every minute has a purpose.
Students are moving before the bell rings. An arrival challenge card is posted. Students begin immediately on entry — no waiting, no instructions needed.
Athletic skill development with specific coaching cues. Sprint mechanics. Strength circuits. Agility drills. Students coach each other using TAKTION language.
An 8-year progressive obstacle curriculum. Vault, rope traverse, balance beam, hurdles. Students spot each other. Physical courage and safety culture built together.
25-game library. Mandatory pre-game strategy session. Active play. Structured 3-question debrief. Students learn to think tactically, cooperate, and lead under competition.
Every class ends here. Structured stretching. 4-7-8 breathing. Passport reflection entry. The zone that surprises people most — and produces the deepest learning.
The Student Passport is a physical printed document — a hands-on record of every student’s TAKTION PE journey. Students write in it by hand during every class. It travels from Grade 1 through Grade 8, goes home at the end of every semester, and comes back in September. No app required, no devices needed, no IT approval — it works from Day 1 in any school.
Every personal best. Every monthly reflection. Every badge earned. Eight years of growth — documented, dated, and owned entirely by the student. Parents receive a printed monthly progress report with their child’s key data.
A digital companion app — with student login, personal best tracking, badge display, and a parent portal — is a planned future development goal. The intent is to build it after the founding pilot year, once real outcome data exists to build it around. No timeline is guaranteed.
Four formal leadership roles — rotating throughout the year so every student develops as a leader from Kindergarten through Grade 8.
We are not asking for a district-wide commitment. We are asking for one founding pilot school — one full school year of complete implementation, August through June. At the end of that year you receive a Year-End Outcome Report built for your board, with the data to make a confident decision about Year 2.
The founding school rate is $19 per student for the full school year — the $3,500 program minimum ensures every school, regardless of enrollment size, receives the complete program. Year 2 and beyond, founding schools renew at a flat $1,500/year — no per-student recalculation. After the founding cohort, the standard rate is $30 per student with a $5,000 minimum (Year 2+ renewal: $2,000/year flat).
Many schools have covered significant portions of similar program costs through Title IV-A, USDA Team Nutrition, and other available grant funding. We can help identify the most relevant funding sources for your specific school during our initial conversation.

TAKTION PE was built by practitioners who saw the problem first-hand from the inside. Both John and Stefany have been working hands-on with clients, athletes, and teams for over a collective 40 years of experience. They knew something had always been missing from the younger generations — so they built it.

Most PE programs are a collection of activities loosely organized by season or unit. TAKTION PE is a complete system — every class follows the same five-zone structure, every student holds a formal leadership role, every skill is assessed monthly and tracked in a Student Passport that travels with the student from Kindergarten through Grade 8.
The difference is not in what activities are done. The difference is that TAKTION PE is designed like a curriculum — with scope, sequence, progression, assessment, and evidence — the same way math and reading are designed. Most PE programs cannot show you what they produced at the end of a semester. TAKTION PE hands you a Year-End Outcome Report with your school's real data.
Every TAKTION PE class runs through five zones in sequence:
Every student rotates through all five zones every class, every day. No one sits out. No one waits. Every minute has a purpose.
TAKTION PE covers Kindergarten through Grade 8 — completely. That is 240 fully detailed lesson plans organized across three grade bands: Grades K–2, Grades 3–5, and Grades 6–8. A dedicated Kindergarten curriculum with 16 fully detailed lessons is also included separately.
Every grade band has its own scope and sequence, its own personal best progression, and its own leadership role expectations. A student who enters TAKTION PE in Kindergarten and stays through Grade 8 has a complete, unbroken eight-year athletic and leadership development record — documented in their Student Passport.
Yes — explicitly and in detail. Every one of the five SHAPE America National Standards for K–12 Physical Education is addressed across all grade bands from Kindergarten through Grade 8. We have a complete 14-page standards alignment document that maps every curriculum component to the specific standard it addresses. It is available on request.
TAKTION PE is currently in the process of applying for SHAPE America National Curriculum Recognition.
The Student Passport is a physical record of every student's complete TAKTION PE journey. It travels with them from Kindergarten through Grade 8, goes home at the end of every semester, and comes back in September. It contains:
At the end of Grade 8, every TAKTION PE student owns a document that no other PE program produces anywhere in the country.
We are going to be direct with you: TAKTION PE is a new program currently seeking its first founding pilot school. We do not have longitudinal outcome data from live school implementations, and we will not pretend otherwise. Any program that shows you dramatic statistics before running a single pilot is fabricating them.
What we do have is a complete, research-informed curriculum built on nearly 22 years of direct practitioner experience in elite athletic development — including Division I football strength and conditioning and high school multi-sport programs. The program's design principles are each individually supported by substantial research in physical education, sport psychology, and adolescent development.
The founding pilot year is exactly where the evidence gets built. At the end of your pilot year, you receive a complete Year-End Outcome Report with your school's actual data — participation rates, skill improvement across all six metrics, leadership scores, and wellness participation. That report becomes the evidence base for every school that follows. You will be the first. That is what the founding pilot rate reflects.
From signed agreement to first class — approximately four to six weeks. The critical path is teacher certification training, which runs three days and can be delivered at your school or a nearby location. Once the teacher is certified, the curriculum is open-and-teach ready — no additional planning, no supplementary materials to purchase.
The 30-Day Launch Checklist walks your team through every step: equipment ordering, family communication, student passport printing, gym zone setup, and the first day of class. Most of what needs to happen before Day 1 can be completed by the PE teacher independently, without requiring administrator time.
TAKTION PE is designed to be delivered by your existing PE teacher — it does not require hiring additional staff. The one-day certification training is what prepares your teacher to deliver it. The class structure fits any standard PE period of 40 minutes or longer.
The five-zone model is adaptable to full gyms, half gyms, outdoor spaces, and multi-use rooms. Your schedule does not need to change. Your teacher does not need to be replaced. The program fits what you already have.
The Year-End Outcome Report is a formatted data document built specifically for presentation to school boards and district leadership. It includes:
It is designed to be handed to a superintendent or board member and read in ten minutes. Most PE programs cannot produce anything like it.
Yes. TAKTION PE qualifies for several federal funding streams that many schools already access:

The founding school rate — $19 per student or the $3,500 minimum, whichever is higher — covers the complete program for the full school year. There are no hidden fees, no per-module charges, and no annual software subscription costs. After the founding cohort, the standard rate is $30 per student with a $5,000 minimum — flat annually, no tiered increases.
The only additional cost your school may incur is equipment — cones, agility ladders, exercise mats, foam blocks, and similar items. Most schools already own much of what is needed. The Equipment Purchasing Guide, included with the program, prioritizes items by necessity and provides cost estimates. A fully-equipped new setup typically runs $300–$600 depending on what you already have.
To put the total investment in context: the national average school spend is $15,633 per student per year. TAKTION PE costs less than 0.1% of that to completely transform your PE program.
Teacher certification is a one-day in-person program delivered at your school or a nearby location:
After certification you receive the complete curriculum binder, all assessment tools, zone layout diagrams, and ongoing support throughout the full school year. You are not left alone after training.
Fully ready. Every lesson plan is written in complete detail — zone-by-zone instructions, coaching cues, timing, equipment needed, differentiation notes for IEP and ELL students, and the specific leadership role assignments for that class.
The only preparation required before each class is reading the lesson plan. No additional planning, no supplementary materials, no improvisation required. The curriculum was built by practitioners who understood that a PE teacher's most valuable resource is time — and designed it accordingly.
TAKTION PE includes dedicated accommodation resources for every student:
No student is excluded. The program is designed so that every student participates at their level in every zone, every class — including students who would traditionally sit out in a conventional PE program.
Ongoing support is included in the founding pilot program for the full school year:
You are not implementing this alone. If something isn't working in Month 2, we want to know — and we will help fix it before Month 3.
TAKTION PE is designed to work with standard gym equipment most schools already own. Essential items include:
A fully-equipped new setup typically costs $300–$600 depending on what your school already owns. The complete Equipment Purchasing Guide — included with the program — lists every item in priority order with cost estimates and recommended vendors.
Every class your child attends follows the same five-zone structure. They begin moving the moment they enter the gym with an arrival challenge. They develop athletic skills — sprint mechanics, jumping, balance, strength, agility — in Zone B. They build physical courage and safety awareness in Zone C through a progressive obstacle curriculum. They play strategic games and learn to lead in Zone D. And every class ends in Zone E with stretching, breathing, and a written reflection in their printed Student Passport.
Your child is never sitting on bleachers waiting for their turn. Every student is active in every zone, every class. No exceptions.
The Student Passport is a physical record of your child's complete TAKTION PE experience. It comes home at the end of every semester. You will also receive a monthly parent progress report showing your child's most recent personal best data, their leadership role scores, and their wellness participation.
The best conversation starter when the passport comes home: ask your child to show you the passport and explain what each number means. A digital companion app with a parent portal is a planned future development goal — no timeline is guaranteed, but it is on the roadmap. A student who has been in TAKTION PE for even one month can walk you through their data and tell you exactly what they are working on. That is the point of the system.
Zone C — the obstacle and challenge zone — is designed with safety as the primary non-negotiable. Every obstacle element has a formal spotting protocol where students are trained to physically support each other. The Safety Captain leadership role is specifically responsible for monitoring Zone C safety every class.
The obstacle progression starts with simple foam block step-overs in Kindergarten and advances gradually over eight years — no student is pushed to attempt an element before they are ready. Students self-select their challenge level. The teacher and the Safety Captain are watching every attempt. The program has never had a safety incident because the safety system is built into the curriculum itself — not treated as an afterthought.
TAKTION PE has several built-in family involvement opportunities:
The most important thing you can do: when the passport comes home, sit down with your child and read it together. Ask them to explain their numbers. Their ability to explain their own growth is one of the most meaningful outcomes of this program.
Most children who say they hate PE are actually saying they hate being embarrassed, sitting out, being picked last, or feeling like they have no place in the gym. TAKTION PE is specifically designed to eliminate every one of those experiences:
We cannot promise your child will love every moment. But we can promise that the specific things that made them hate PE before have been removed from the system by design — not by accident.
